OMG! The best waffles ever! I also took coffee latte and it was amazing! So cute patio outside with a little fountain and a few beautiful fish inside! Very quiet, so very comfortable for business breakfast or lunch! Highly recommend!

Adorable tucked away cafe featuring a menu with fresh ingredients. They have ample in door seating and a spacious, shaded patio for outdoor seating. The best feature of this gem is the small bookstore attached to the cafe. It’s perfect for a weekend morning stop.

Penelope's is our go to when we need sandwich or salad. Ingredients are fresh, service is good, and Penelope remembers our name, preferences etc. when we call to order. The outdoor sitting area has a big tree that provides shade and a small pond that you can hear the soothing sound of water. Inside, there's a gallery of books and unique gifts, and sometimes artworks, and I always like the seat in the corner that an old sewing machine was transformed into a table.

Quaint lunch place in reimagined house. The decor is so cute. Perfect place for a friend's date or a date/date. Service was quick and very good. Menu is mainly soup, salad & sandwiches. Tasty, a little bland, but still good & fresh.

Gorgeous, quiet and quaint nook in La Canada with delicious sandwiches. Perfect for a relaxing and delicious lunch or quick coffee/tea stop. Recommend visiting especially if visiting the Angeles Crest forest for lunch!

I have been wanting to stop by this cafe forever. I finally did and it did not disappoint. Penelope is such a sweet and gracious host, spending time not only serving us but chatting with us. What a great story she has. Food was delicious and the outdoor patio simply delightful. I will return for sure.

Love this quaint little place in la cañada in foothill just west of Angeles Crest Hwy by the 210. The owner is Penelope, and she is awesome! The food is always fresh and she has quite a great menu. Lots of salads of many kinds, lots of great sandwiches, and also soups/chili. Personally, I just love Russell's roast beef sandwich with horseradish and mustard, and i get it with one of the many salads they have called Matthew's salad. And the turkey chili is honestly the best chili I have ever had. I go here often and love Edit, who is a long-time waitress there. If is like being in a large home with art all over the walls, children's books for sale, and inside tables and a lovely patio with outside tables too..it is only open from about 11-3 but it is always quite popular. It isn't a place everyone knows is there as from the outside it is very easy to miss. But once you have gone to eat there you will want to.I'll go back again and again due to the wonderful food and service. A+++ RATING !!! TELL PENELOPE BARBIE SENT YOU!!! And they also have great desserts.
